Fedsure Health, part of the Fedsure Financial Services Group, has launched a new multimedia sales and training CD-ROM application for its brokers and consultants as an extension to its ongoing service improvement drive.
The multimedia CD-ROM, developed locally by digital video specialist Graphic Image Technologies (GIT), combines animation, still presentations and text in a multimedia showcase for training, sales and on-site quoting for the end-to-end broker to member market.
Fedsure Health internal communications coordinator Karen Hoffmann says the company wanted to move beyond the slide and overhead medium for delivering dynamic presentations for its employees, sales staff and brokers .
"Our goal is to offer the complete healthcare experience to our members, a concept that depends on our communicating the benefits of Fedsure Health products visually and interactively to our brokers," says Hoffmann. "We envisioned a product that would boost our training initiatives internally for staff and externally for brokers, and simultaneously offer sales assistance to give brokers a competitive edge in their dealings with existing and potential members."
With one million lives insured, Fedsure Health is the second largest administrator in the country. Its network of medical aid services includes a product portfolio targeting the middle and upper echelons of the medical aid market, as well as integral relationships with pharmacies, hospitals and doctors nationwide.
"Prior to launching the product, our concerns were twofold," adds Hoffmann. "First, would the electronic medium blunt the personal touch that differentiates our products in the market, and second, would the majority of our brokers and members be comfortable with its use given limited multimedia experience." "Judging from the feedback we`ve had so far, the response has been most positive," she continues. "Not only is our sample test group comfortable with the product, but its design encourages the personal interaction that may otherwise have been lost using standard presentations."
Split into four sections, the limited edition CD-ROM contains:
an extensive training presentation;
a presentation manager for customised presentations;
a sales presentation with pointers to unique selling techniques and strategic sales guidelines for brokers; and
an interactive quote system, developed in conjunction with GIT, that gives brokers hands-on access to the latest products and pricing so they can custom-fit a package to suit their clients` needs on site.
"We`ve cut a limited number of CDs (150), distributed to our broker consultants and brokers around the country," says Hoffmann. "Our plan is to cut a further 1000 discs to give all our brokers access to the product, and eventually migrate most of the content to the Web so it`s available 24-7 online."
