Acer, official supplier to Scuderia Ferrari, has launched a new and exclusive 64-Bit notebook, the Ferrari 3200.
Gary De Menezes, commercial director at Acer, says the notebook follows the tradition of elegance, design and cutting-edge technology that, over the past year, has been the hallmark of the synergies between Acer and Ferrari, two companies renowned for their advanced research and constant commitment to innovation.
The Ferrari 3200 is based on the latest low-power mobile AMD Athlon 64 processor 2800+ and harnesses the exclusive AMD64 technology.
The 64-bit architecture delivers 32-bit performance and is a foretaste of the performance gains promised by future applications. In addition, the AMD PowerNow! technology extends battery life, while HyperTransport technology radically improves multitasking.
The exclusive design and elegant style of the Ferrari 3200 make it a compact work companion for innovative professionals.
The slim and lightweight chassis in grey and Ferrari red encases the most advanced technology available for today`s mobile users. Features include a large, 200nit high brightness 15-inch TFT display powered by a hyper-fast graphics engine, ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 with 128MB dedicated video RAM, base system memory of 512MB DDR RAM, scaleable to 2048MB, and a 80GB HDD. A slot loading DVD-Super Multi drive and a 4-in-1 card reader are also available.
In addition to the new mobile AMD Athlon 64 processor, the Ferrari 3200 provides secure connectivity in any situation, thanks to the wireless connection possibilities offered by the integrated IEEE 802.11g standard and to the Personal Area Network through the integrated Bluetooth module.
To view, manage and memorise pictures and films or to connect video equipment and digital peripherals, the Ferrari 3200 is equipped with a DVD reader/burner, 4 ultra-fast USB 2.0 ports, and S-Video out port, FireWire IEEE 1394 interface and a 4-in-1 memory card reader.
