Enterprise content management (ECM) in South Africa gets a shot in the arm with an internationally recognised professional certification programme. AIIM (http://www.aiim.org/), the international authority on enterprise content management (ECM), is running its ECM Master Certificate Programme (http://www.aiim.org/training) in South Africa for the first time.
Rob Cells, a director of NokusaEI, the leading South African ECM consultancy, states that NokusaEI is facilitating this course as a service to industry in an effort to improve the body of knowledge in this rapidly growing field of technology in South Africa.
ECM includes document, record, Web content and e-mail management and associated technologies. The ECM Certificate Programme provides complete coverage of ECM for professionals working in both the public and private sector. Participants will learn to plan, design and implement ECM projects based on case study exercises and expertise learned.
The training programmes are developed based on identified best practices from AIIM`s 50 000 members in North America and Europe. The content is defined and reviewed by Education Advisory Groups that consist of information executives and professionals, representing industries, solution providers, analysts and consultants. Members of AIIM include the FBI, US District Courts, CreditSuisseFirstBoston, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Gartner, Ovum, Adobe, Hummingbird, FileNet, EMC Documentum, SAP and Tower Software. The training programmes have then been developed in partnership with Cornwell Management Consultants and The Oxford Group.
The ECM Master Certificate Programme includes:
* Professional membership of AIIM
* Four-day classroom-based training course
* Pre-course access to AIIM Web site
* Post-course online case study
* Online examination
* ECM Master designation
The first ECM Master Certificate Programme course is to be held in Johannesburg from 19 to 22 June 2006. For more information, please contact Rob Cells at rob.cells@NokusaEI.com or (011) 791 1028.
