Firstlogic, a provider of enterprise data quality software solutions and services, has expanded its OEM partnership with data integration software company Informatica, allowing for the immediate addition of Firstlogic`s data-matching functionality to Informatica`s PowerCenter environments.
The Firstlogic Data Quality Link for Informatica, represented locally by Knowledge Integration Dynamics (KID), has been licensed by more than 160 companies, and is a significant component of Informatica`s larger unified solution for data quality and data integration.
Charl Barnard, product manager at KID, says the Data Quality Link for Informatica enables rapid deployment of Firstlogic`s Information Quality software suite with Informatica PowerCenter.
"This has provided US customers such as Carnival Cruise Lines, Kohl`s, Argent Mortgage, LA Times, Chicago Tribune, Option One Mortgage and Wright Express with the advantage of effectively moving source system information throughout the organisation, while standardising, verifying and consolidating records in the process."
With the deployment of Firstlogic`s robust information quality capabilities into the Informatica data flow, companies can create a single customer view and achieve better results from decision support and business intelligence applications. The expanded OEM agreement allows for the immediate addition of Firstlogic`s data-matching functionality to PowerCenter environments as well as access to IQ8 functionality.
