Location-based social network foursquare, an application developed in 2009 that allows mobile device users to 'check in' and interact with their environment, is now available to download from BlackBerry App World.
Free to download, the revised app features three easy-to-access tabs at the bottom of the screen: Friends, Explore and You.
The new Friends tab has 'swipable' photos, tips, lists and more check-in feeds from friends and pages. An additional interactive element is also available, whereby users can 'like' and comment on activities of interest.
Users can also earn points and badges with the new app, as well as save money with foursquare specials, offered by “hundreds of thousands” of businesses, according to BlackBerry maker Research in Motion.
