African Gateway Connection has announced that during the month of July 2003 it will open its service department doors and offer all Eurocom notebook users a free BIOS upgrade and service on their machines, no matter how old the system.
Carl Roode, GM of African Gateway Connection, says the majority of notebook users tend to keep the system configuration that was loaded on their notebook from the date of purchase through the total time of ownership.
"It can be a tricky procedure to do BIOS and system maintenance if you`re not sure of the procedures and potential pitfalls, however, users should keep in contact with the companies from where they purchased their notebooks to find out whether any updates have been released."
BIOS upgrades are released from time to time and have many benefits including improving the performance of the system and adding new features.
Roode says he hopes all Eurocom users will make use of this free service not only to familiarise themselves with the internal workings of their notebooks, but also to increase the lifespan of their system and to meet the people of African Gateway Connection, thereby fostering an on-going relationship between user and supplier.
