Fring unveils group video chat
Mobile communications service, Fring, has rolled out a group video chat product called Playgrounds, which mimics Google+'s Hangouts feature, reports Into Mobile.
Playgrounds lets users join an existing four-way video chat, or start their own, which is based on a topic of the creator's choosing.
Fring CEO and co-founder, Avi Shechter says: “Playground video chat empowers users to video and voice their opinions about things that matter to them. We let users do more than simply 'follow' their interests. Now, they can actively engage with others via video chat, instead of waiting for character-constrained updates.”
Mobiletor indicates the feature adds a new subject-centric approach to group video chat.
Fring users can jump into Playgrounds with other Fring users from devices running Apple's iOS or Google's Android operating system, says Fierce Enterprise Communications.
