Fujifilm introduces SPM

Fujifilm has launched a new module - Server Performance Monitoring (SPM) - for its Web-based monitoring solution, Taskero Universe, according to What They Think.

SPM is the latest addition to the suite of process control products, including Colorpath Verified and Hardware Monitoring, under the Taskero Universe umbrella.

The Web-based approach of the new SPM provides users with central management and administration for an entire IT infrastructure, including and early warnings regarding potential failures in a system. Users are also able to access this information in-house and at remote locations.

HP uses BEA

BEA Systems is supporting the new HP Integrity BL870c server blade with BEA WebLogic Server 10, says Fox Business.

The availability of the BEA WebLogic Server on HP's first four-socket Integrity blade server allows customers to run large business-critical applications.

BEA WebLogic Server and Web 2.0 services in combination with the HP Integrity BL870c automate capabilities to deploy applications and keep them up and running using diagnostics capabilities.

Virtual servers critical for CIOs

More than half of CIOs surveyed by CA don't think their companies are doing an effective job managing virtual environments, says NetworkWorld.

Management software maker CA released the results of its global virtualisation management study that polled 300 CIOs and other top executives at companies worldwide, to gauge how they are tackling virtual server management.

The results show that while 54% of large enterprise companies ranked management of their virtual server environment as a critical or high priority, less than half said they believed their companies were doing an effective job.
