Fujitsu, CTI in strategic partnership

Johannesburg, 27 Oct 2015

Fujitsu in April 2015 entered into a strategic partnership with Australian based "Constraint Technologies Incorporated CTI".

Fujitsu are the 5th largest ICT company in the world and have +- 159 000 people supporting customers in more than 100 countries worldwide.

Based in Melbourne, Australia, CTI is a solutions and services company and a market leader for optimisation and real time mobile software for the transport, travel and logistics sector.

Fujitsu and CTI will jointly enhance the PegaSys solution which has a successful 20 year history. By integrating the latest real time mobile, rule and optimisation capabilities this will deliver the next generation decision support solutions that will take the transport business forward into the future.

The combination of the expertise of Fujitsu and CTI will result in enhanced yields on research and development and a more rapid development of solutions that better meet the needs of the airlines industry. It is anticipated that this will rapidly accelerate the roadmap for the release of the next generation of PegaSys.

Mark Wilson, head of services, Fujitsu Africa, says: PegaSys is a well-established legacy system, however we need to upgrade and refresh the solution to align it more with mobile and Internet-based technologies. CTI is an ideal partner for this as there is a good cultural fit between both companies and they have some exceptionally clever mobile technologies which will complement PegaSys and increase the value of PegaSys to existing customers and present the industry with a competitive alternative solution.

Julian Warner, "Senior Vice President Global Solutions", CTI says: "Fujitsu's PegaSys solution has a very good reputation and I am confident that through our partnership, we will bring a solution to market that will be a compelling option, not only for existing, but also for new customers."
