Fujitsu extends LIFEBOOK ultrabook family with security and touch in mind

At IFA Berlin, Fujitsu today announces two additions to the LIFEBOOK U Series line-up - including a flagship new touch-screen ultrabook based on latest fourth-generation Intel Core processor technology. With these new models, Fujitsu is offering a wider-than-ever choice of slim, easily portable notebooks, giving small and medium-sized businesses the tools they need for secure mobile working.

Both new models in the LIFEBOOK U Series come with standard features such as all-day battery runtime and any time connectivity, and Preboot Execution Environment (PXE) for remote management

Enterprise-grade security features such as Fujitsu Advanced Theft Protection (ATP) allows lost or stolen devices to be disabled remotely and to erase data. An optional Trusted Platform Module (TPM) encrypts and secures data against theft.

Pricing and availability

The LIFEBOOK U554 is available immediately and LIFEBOOK U574 will be available from the end of October via channel partners or directly through Fujitsu's Web shop.
