Fujitsu Siemens Computers continues to show substantial growth in the South African market with Q2 figures significantly up on last year`s corresponding period.
According to IDC, the company achieved growth of 156.7% in the combined desktop and mobile sector. Set against an overall market growth of 17.4% in this category, Fujitsu Siemens Computers growth has outstripped the market growth rate by a factor of just over nine times.
"Mobile unit sales growth has been pleasing and beyond our expectations," says Mark Wilson, Managing Director of Fujitsu Siemens Computers.
"We grew by over 346% in this category, or approximately 5.6 times the market`s growth. It appears that the market is showing broader acceptance of our brand and that our products are being sought by quality- and value-conscious customers."
The company`s growth in the desktop sector was 23.8%, or about 3.3 times the sector`s growth of 7.3%.
