Fujitsu Siemens Computers, leading European IT manufacturer and market leader in Germany, started delivery of its professional and consumer products with MS Windows Vista when the new operating system became available on 30 January 2007.

Windows Vista, successor of Windows XP, is the new Microsoft operating system for business and home PCs.

Dieter Herzog, Executive VP infrastructure products at Fujitsu Siemens Computers, says: "Fujitsu Siemens Computers is known for its broad range of high quality products for consumers as well as businesses. Our first aim is to deliver innovative products with cutting-edge technology. We look forward to offering customers a great variety of products with Microsoft Windows Vista, and expect these new products will allow customers to enjoy a new stage in performance and usability."

"Microsoft and Fujitsu Siemens Computers are working closely together to offer cutting-edge technology to our mutual customers," says Mike Sievert, Corporate VP, Windows at MS Corporation.

"Running Windows Vista on desktops, notebooks, and tablet PCs from Fujitsu Siemens Computers provides a new dimension of user experience for both consumer and enterprise customers."

Consumer systems with Windows Vista

Starting 30 January, all Fujitsu Siemens Computers consumer systems in the entry, middle and upper price segment are being shipped with MS Windows Vista pre-installed.

With the new operating system, consumer PCs and notebooks, which are partly developed and manufactured in Germany, offer a raft of benefits, including easier switching from one application to another, and improved security settings.

Consumer notebooks featuring MS Windows Vista include entry-level notebooks of the Amilo L and Amilo P series, the multimedia optimised Amilo X series, and the high-quality design notebooks of the Amilo S series.

Also pre-installed with Windows Vista are the entry-level PC Scaleo J, the traditional family PCs Scaleo P and Scaleo H, the top-spec multimedia and gaming PC Scaleo X, and the living room PC Scaleo EV.

Professional products with Windows Vista

Fujitsu Siemens Computers' professional range also comes with MS Windows Vista installed from 30 January. Windows Vista is pre-installed on the following systems: Esprimo professional PCs, which are developed and manufactured in Germany, Amilo Pro and Lifebook professional notebooks, and Celsius workstations.

For customers who bought a Windows Vista-ready system before 15 March 2007, Fujitsu Siemens Computers offers an upgrade service until 31 March 2007.
