Fujitsu Siemens Computers has redesigned its exclusive Business Notebooks in the Lifebook E and S series. The Lifebook E8420, the Lifebook S7220 and S6420 are available equipped with the latest Intel CentrinoR2 processor technology. The Lifebook series now has even faster and more advanced performance.
In addition, Fujitsu Siemens Computers has added a range of features to its Business Notebooks, which puts them at the top of their class. All three systems can be optionally equipped with integrated high-speed UMTS/HSUPA. The result is easy data access from anywhere and all the options of wireless communication - from VOIP to Web conference with optional ConfCam - makes the system a complete workplace when on the road as well.
One of the significant concerns in the business environment today is data security. This isn't a problem with the Lifebook series, since the SmartCard Reader and the option of a TPM module or integrated fingerprint sensor turn the system into Fort Knox to keep company data secure. In addition, the stable magnesium cover, the spill-proof keyboard and the ShockSensor reliably protect the hard disk against any physical damage.
A modular bay provides space for either a second battery, a DVD writer or - with the Lifebook E8420 and Lifebook S7220 - you can add a second hard disk. Components such as port replicator and AC adapter are compatible with all the new and earlier models in the Lifebook E and S series.
Extra features, such as the EcoButton, make the new Lifebook series a more powerful and environmentally-friendly business companion. When on the move, simply press the EcoButton and the device automatically powers down the functions no longer required as previously defined by the user, and extends the battery lifespan.
Each of the three systems has their own particular strengths:
Lifebook E8420: a non-compromising expert
Its 15.4-inch display and high resolution 1680 x 1050 (WSXGA+) plus an optional NVIDIA graphics card makes the Lifebook E8420 the best choice for the power user who requires a complete desktop substitute.
A second 320GB hard disk can be added and a large number of external devices can be connected, thanks to a range of interfaces (including a serial, a parallel and an HDMI interface for high-resolution connections).
Lifebook S6420, Lifebook S7220: your best friends when on the road
Weighing only 1.7kg, the Lifebook S6420 with the compact 13.3-inch glare display makes your notebook a smart-looking companion. The Lifebook S7220 with its 14.1-inch display and weighing 2.2kg is one of the best in class. The convenience of a second battery helps you work an entire day without needing a socket.
