Specialist project management solutions provider and Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, Fulcrum Business Solutions, has been awarded Provisional Accreditation from the Education and Training Quality Assurance committee of the Services SETA. The company achieved its accreditation after the SETQAA found its training processes and procedures met and exceeded the eight core criteria specified by the South African Qualification Authority (SAQA).
Lyzette Lourens, training manager at Fulcrum Business Solutions, says the SETQAA accreditation will strengthen the company`s training offering, while opening doors to gaining more business from customers in diverse fields.
"An increasing number of employers are looking for training providers that have been SETQAA accredited," says Lourens. "On the one hand, using a certified provider ensures the costs of training will be refundable from the customer`s Skills Levy contribution; on the other, accreditation confirms the provider has the capacity to deliver education and training of the required standards, with the appropriate tools, documentation and facilities to ensure the optimal learning environment for learners."
Under the NQF framework, each aligned and accredited course a student completes can count towards a qualification. Training providers therefore need to deliver a minimum level of service if these qualifications are to be respected and stand the test of time - hence the implementation of the accreditation process for such organisations throughout South Africa.

Although software tools are used, accreditation was attained in the Services Seta to align with the unit standards for project management.
