Further supply chain refinements for Toyota

Streamworks Group Limited, a South African leader in the field of management and industrial IT, has been commissioned to implement a System at the Durban manufacturing plant of Toyota South Africa.

The activities, which will be performed in respect of the implementation of the Vehicle Tracking System at the Durban plant, include the following:

The design of the Vehicle Tracking System as directed by Rob McIver, Toyota Project Manager; The programming of Wonderware software to enable the delivery of the Vehicle Tracking System; Assistance with the design of hardware that will be implemented by Toyota in respect of the Vehicle Tracking System.

The contract is a follow-up to the development and installation by Streamworks of a totally automated Manufacturing Logistics Centre (MLC) at the Toyota warehouse at Durban harbour, designed to streamline the process of keeping track of stock on hand, as well as maintaining a constant inventory of pending orders.
