Towards the end of last year, integrated IT business solutions company, SCS acquired reseller rights to an award-winning CRM solution from Canadian-based company, COGNICASE and put the solution to work for specialist fund management company Futuregrowth.
According to Terry Mhungu, Futuregrowth executive director of business development and marketing: "Within a few months Maximizer Enterprise For Notes (ME4N) demonstrated the potential to bring client and prospective client information under one smart platform. The system has integrated our electronic communication platform, with task, calendar, address, word platforms together with our clients' database."
SCS, the only authorised reseller of ME4N in SA, signed up as a business partner with COGNICASE because of the potential in the CRM market for a product offering modularisation. Unlike most CRM solutions where you are forced to buy the whole package upfront, ME4N can be broken up into customised modules to meet business requirements. This makes the solution affordable, and particularly attractive to small and medium-sized businesses.
Information Technology Manager, Reza Solomon of Futuregrowth says that although costs played a huge role, another prime driver for selecting ME4N was the highly extensible and customisable Notes/Domino environment.
"Our previous CRM package wasn't fully integrated with our e-mail and calendaring software. With the implementation of Futuregrowth Informax as we call our CRM, based on the Notes/Domino platform, we now have a fully integrated solution," says Solomon.
"ME4N is easy to deploy, administer and use, allowing for personalised viewing and reporting capabilities with sophisticated access restrictions and security mechanisms," says SCS lotus solutions, infrastructure project manager Frans Lombard.
"Accessible via a Web browser, PDA or Lotus Notes/Domino platform, a big plus is that customisation is quick because of the rapid application development of Lotus Notes/Domino," added Lombard.
Winner of the Lotusphere Showcase award for the past two years, ME4N offers five modular applications: contact management, sales forces automation, customer service, help desk and extranet/web portal.
