Gartner: HDS takes leadership of high-end RAID storage market

Hitachi Systems has been acknowledge by Gartner Dataquest as the market leader in enterprise storage revenue in 2002, with an almost 9% advantage over the next highest vendor.

HDS was the only one of the three leading enterprise storage vendors to show year-over-year growth in high-end systems revenue from 2001 to 2002, the most recent year for which there is complete .

This is according to the Gartner Dataquest research figures presented by Josh Krischer, VP and research director for enterprise servers and storage, Europe, in his presentation on enterprise disk storage systems at the recent Gartner 22nd Annual Centre Conference.
