Gestetner boosts value, reliability and quality

South Africa`s busy central reprographics departments (CRDs) can now benefit from two advanced new multifunctional devices available from total document solutions provider, Gestetner. The 9002 and 10512 copiers are designed to meet the copier and printing needs of CRDs within large organisations and deliver superior image quality at high speed to drive copying costs down and maximise productivity.

Richard Pinker, managing director of Gestetner SA, says: "Both multifunctional products (MFPs) offer crisp 1200 x 1200 dpi output. Quality is underpinned by high speeds with output swiftly produced at 90ppm on the 9002 and 105ppm on the 10512. Production can be doubled to gain speeds of 180ppm or 210ppm by using two machines in tandem. The speed and durability of these copiers ensure their ability to produce business critical documentation all day every day and they are robust enough to process many millions of copies during their lifespan."

Web-based software such as Fiery WebTools and the advanced Groundworks II functionality is embedded within both models to deliver printer job control over the Web and Intranets as well as wireless LAN functionality. A scan-to-email function streamlines document distribution by sending scanned documents from the multifunctional`s control panel directly to users` email accounts.

A powerful integrated document server is standard with both models, enabling users to capture and store documents directly onto the internal 80-gigabyte hard drive, to free vital network space. Saving directly onto the document server allows jobs to be quickly opened for printing or editing, directly from the control panel without having to use a PC as well as enabling easy merging of documents to be printed as one.

The versatility of both MFPs is demonstrated by their customisable, advanced finishing options, including a 3000 sheet finisher with, 100 sheet stapler, a flexible hole punch that can be switched between 2 and 4 holes and they can both use a wide variety of print media. With the cover interposer, pre-printed sheets can be easily inserted into a finished job; you also have the option to insert pre-printed tab sheets, giving all documents a highly professional finish. For booklet production Gestetner now have 2 options. For low volume use on the 9002, there is a booklet finisher combined with a 3,000 sheet finisher. For high volume professional booklet production both machines can be equipped with the SR90 Booklet maker, which provides high quality folding and trimming for perfect booklets every time.
