The E-810 Fiery Controller for printers from Gestetner delivers better control for users, ensuring consistently high-quality colour results. Designed to complement the CS213d, the E-810 offers professionals a flexible range of applications to increase productivity levels, as well as allowing variable paper handling, fast output speeds and streamlined connectivity.
It responds to the requirements of high-end users by ensuring colour accuracy whether in the proofing or printing area. The software supports an impressive 600 x 600 dpi, 10-bit per colour scanning and continuous tone or half-tone printing. Colour accuracy is assured with the Colowise2 and Colowise ProTools bundled utility software.
With user calibration of the copier and E-810, maximum colour quality is achieved on every run, regardless of the paper used or changes in the environment. In addition, Pantone matching, pre-defined or user-defined targets and colour management software gives users power to control colour and predict the output downstream.
The versatility offered by the new Fiery Controller will prove particularly appealing to specialised businesses such as graphic design companies and advertising agencies, or production offices. In combination with the CS213d the new product permits users to print on an area of 323 x 473mm, and to select paper weights up to 250g/m2. Colour proofs can be produced up to A3 size (with full bleed and crop registration marks) which allows errors to be detected much earlier in the print cycle and so avoids time-consuming and expensive final proofs.
The 13 page-per-minute (ppm) output in full colour or 51ppm in mono, guarantees fast results, and the first print-time in colour is just 22.4 seconds. The advanced processor facilitates speedy processing and finishing times, while features such as `rip-while-print` and `continuous print` will increase productivity still further. Using the driver setting, users can also select, the paper handling features offered by the copier such as duplex, sorting and stapling.
Specialist software applications designed to save users both time and money are available to further enhance the strong performance. Fiery Command Workstation and Fiery Spooler software gives administrators total remote control of colour print jobs. Equipment status can be easily checked using Fiery Link, for example, inspecting toner or paper supplies from the workstation avoids unnecessary delays. DocBuilder and DocBuilderPro permit preview, merge and imposition of rastered data. FreeForm is also available for fast variable data printing.
The Fiery Controller offers simple connectivity. Netwise2 accelerates set-up and offers streamlined network compatibility. This saves network managers` time as well as reducing one of the main costs of running network printers.
