Getronics, IBM win Martinair deal

Dutch airline Martinair has chosen Getronics and IBM to manage part of its IT organisation, says CNN Money.

In terms of the five-year agreement, Getronics and IBM will manage part of Martinair's front and back-office applications. The joint contract is worth EUR23 million, of which IBM will receive EUR6 million.

By outsourcing its IT infrastructure and application management, Martinair will be able to focus on its core competences.

EMA to host Webinars

Enterprise Management Associates (EMA), an IT management research and consulting firm, will host a number of free Webinars focused on IT management during this month, says Market Watch.

Recently, EMA completed extensive primary research to gain a better understanding of how IT service catalogues are selected, deployed and utilised in the enterprise.

Getronics Australia, a workspace ICT management services company, has selected FrontRange Solutions' IT service management solution to drive exceptional service for its clients, states CIO.

Getronics Australia designs, integrates and manages ICT infrastructures and business solutions for many of Australia's leading companies and organisations.

The company will use the solution primarily to provide an improved level of service and functionality to all of its managed services clients.
