Getronics and Cisco Systems today announced that Getronics is the first Cisco Global Support Partner to achieve both Global Voice Access and Global Security Specialisations. These certifications are the latest development in Getronics` and Cisco`s long-term strategic alliance, formed to deliver end-to-end solutions necessary for enterprise and service provider customers.
Managing director of Getronics SA, Charles Proudfoot comments: "These cerifications are a direct result of Getronics undertaking a major effort to increase the level of Cisco solutions deployment and support skills within its organisation, with particular emphasis on new, emerging technologies and solutions."
The Voice Access Specialisation Programme is intended to develop within the Cisco partners the expertise needed to successfully deploy New World data, voice and video integrated solutions. The Security Specialisation Programme enables Cisco Partners to properly design and deploy secure networks, based on new solutions available from Cisco.
Getronics reached the highest level of specialisation in these areas, as a result of the level of skills available within its organisation and the depth of the geographic extension of its business activity. Cisco`s Global certificatio ns require meeting rigorous career certification requirements, including a minimum number of Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert`s (CCIE`s) specialised in the Voice and Security areas as well as a global sales and technical organisation to design, implement, operate, and support solutions based on Cisco`s Voice and Security technologies.
"Getronics has repeatedly demonstrated its capabilities and offers a compelling value proposition to enterprises and service providers that are determined to succeed in the New World of Data and Voice Networking convergence and of the Internet economy", said Robert Lloyd, Vice President of Cisco`s Enterprise and Small to Medium Lines of Business EMEA.
"These new Cisco certifications, together with the Global Support Partner (GSP) status recently achieved by Getronics world-wide, enhances Getronics` capabilities to properly support its global customers in the deployment and migration of their network towards secure advanced IP Business solutions", said Rupert Hunte, Vice President Getronics Network Integration EMEA & Asia Pacific.
"This is an outstanding accomplishment: Getronics is the first Cisco partner to achieve this Global Voice and Security Specialisations, providing additional depth to the long-standing strategic alliance between Cisco and Getronics and delivery first-class service to its customers", commented Geoff Miller, Cisco Certification Manager EMEA. "Getronics and Cisco management teams will continue working to develop our relationship, and to enhance our mutual capabilities in supporting our customers for mission-critical IP network environments."
