GF library adds computers

Grand Forks Public Library has completed a series of tech upgrades that includes new computers and self-service check-out stations for patrons, reveals Grand Forks Herald.

Library director Wendy Wendt says the checkout stations, in place for a few weeks now, are similar to self-service stations at supermarkets, only a lot easier.

But the biggest upgrade is a renovation of the computer lab that adds 24 new computers. Older computers have been moved outside to the main part of the library, meaning that, even when the lab is closed for a class, patrons still have other computers they can use.
