Gigabyte Technology is knocking the digital visual experience up another notch with the launch of the AGP GeForce 7600GS GPU.
A world leader in VGA card manufacturing, Gigabyte has pulled out all the stops in order to deliver the GeForce 7600GS, which is being distributed in South Africa by Rectron.
The card was manufactured using a new state-of-the-art 90nm process and was designed to comply with EU regulations and RoHS standards to ensure it is mercury and cadmium free and has ultra-low power consumption.
As a premium solution for AGP users, Gigabyte`s GeForce 7600GS comes equipped with the industry`s finest GDDR2 memory, 128-bit memory bandwidth and 12 pixel pipelines.
Unlike similar products that utilise a fan for cooling, the GeForce 7600 from Gigabyte provides a completely silent environment with passive thermal cooling to deliver the highest quality whether you are looking to play the latest in hard-core 3D games or to process complex video calculations.
"All high-end graphics cards require adequate cooling otherwise the GPU will overheat," says Michael Hann, Business Manager at Rectron. "Gigabyte revolutionary Silent Pipe Technology removes the need for a noisy fan by creating natural system convection."
Gigabyte`s GeForce 7600GS is Microsoft Windows Vista ready, and features full support for DirectX 9.0c, OpenGL 2.0, Shader Model 3.0 and HDR for AGP graphics rendering. In addition to enhanced video quality, the GeForce 7600GS from Gigabyte utilises Dual-Link DVI for High Definition widescreen display, with resolutions up to 2560x1600 that supports 30-inch LCD monitors for crystal-clear picture quality that greatly enhances the home theatre experience.
