Following a rigorous appraisal process, Gigabyte Technology recently walked away with the Highest Enterprise Quality Award at the 15th annual National Quality Award Ceremony held at the Taipei International Convention Centre in Taiwan.
Distributed exclusively to the South African marketplace by Rectron, Gigabyte Technology was awarded for its strong integrity, focus on core technology and ability to effectively incorporate the core values into its Total Quality Management (TQM) system.
"We would like to congratulate Gigabyte on this noteworthy achievement, which is not only indicative of the company`s continued product and service excellence but also demonstrates to users globally as well as in SA that they are buying products that are a cut above the rest," comments Reon Coetzee, marketing manager of Rectron.
This is the 15th year since the establishment of the National Quality Award, which rewards enterprises and individuals who have, with outstanding results, implemented TQM.
Award-winning companies serve as a benchmark to promote the spirit of TQM throughout Taiwan, which in turn elevates the national image and competitiveness. The evaluation process for this award is rigorous and competitive.

Gigabyte has received numerous national honours over the years. These include this year the highest product development honours: one Gold National Award of Excellence and two Silver National Awards of Excellence. Gigabyte is the only motherboard manufacturer to be honoured with the Taiwan Symbol of Excellence for seven consecutive years and the National Award of Excellence for three consecutive years. In addition, in 2003, Gigabyte upheld the title of best motherboard manufacturer.
