Global Bay has completed technology validation of its solution on the IBM Store Integration Framework, reports Computer Business Review.

Through this initiative, IBM works with select IBM business partners to validate solutions that meet a rigorous assessment of next-generation, open-standards-based store environments.

The Ready for IBM Store Innovations - Store Integration Framework initiative brings together platform-independent software vendors that deliver proven solutions designed and built for the retail industry.

Modiv represented at retail conference

Modiv Media, a provider of retail interactive media delivery solutions, was selected to give a roundtable session about managing mobile customer relationships, at next week`s DMA07 Conference & Exhibition, in Chicago, says TMC Net.

Modiv`s senior VP of marketing Michele Deziel will oversee an "Ask The Experts Roundtable" session, titled: "It`s Time to Mobile Your Customers", on 15 October.

Deziel will also be interviewed by WebmasterRadio.FM. Her interview will be distributed in podcast format through major podcast portals, such as iTunes and MobileCast, and will be archived and available on demand.

Oracle eyes retail sector

Oracle sees a massive business opportunity in the retail sector in India. This was disclosed by the Oracle functionaries at the Oracle India Development Centre (OIDC), according to Kerala Next News.

The provider of database applications, servers and other niche products is now gearing up to launch Oracle Retail, a comprehensive IT support solution for enterprises to handle the data.

Oracle is also developing another suite that will be available on demand to suit industry needs.
