Global Technology services creates Web interface for CGS

Global Technology Services has created a web interface through Telekinesys for cheque guarantee company CGS Financial Technologies. Telekinesys, part of Global Technology Services, is a focused software house that specialises in web-based applications using the latest open Internet standards. The web interface, which has been running successfully for four months, handles the cheque guarantees.

The web interface is an extension of previous projects in which Global Technology Services` Telekinesys was responsible for a variety of interface programs between CGS and its clients. The web interface extends CGS`s service by enabling smaller merchants to dial in to their service provider and connect to the CGS website. The client then inserts the required data on the web page, the data is sent through to CGS for verification, the enquiry is validated, and the risk is assessed. Based on this assessment, the cheque payment is either accepted or declined.

Alan Williams, CEO of Global Technology Services, comments, "The transaction process is similar to the credit card verification process. It is very simple, and allows for increased ease of use, while at the same time ensuring secure transactions over the web."
