Go Wild with the Canon BJC-2100 bundle

Johannesburg, 24 Nov 2000

Buy the CanonBJC-2100 Colour Bubble Jet printer from any participating outlet and "Go Wild" with R500.00 worth of cool free stuff! With every BJC-2100 sold, you will get a limited edition National Geographic photo gallery containing over 3000 high-resolution images of wildlife and nature scenes, as well as a limited edition copy of PrintMaster Gold.

The combination of Canon`s leading Bubble Jet print technology in the versatile BJC-2100 and the PrintMaster Gold and National Geographic bundle allows the user to truly "Go Wild"! "With just a few mouse clicks you can print calendars, T-shirts, diaries and cards all with the amazing images from National Geographic; and with the addition of the BC-22e Photo Cartridge, users can create photo-realistic images to decorate the home," declares Robert Havik, marketing manager for Canon SA.

With a 5 page per minute (ppm) speed in mono and up to 2ppm in colour, the Canon BJC-2100 offers class-leading high-speed performance. "With an exceptionally competitive price, ease of use and proven track record the BJC-2100 is the ideal compact printer for the home or small office for first-time buyers," says Havik.

The BJC-2100 applies Canon`s proprietary print technologies to deliver excellent all-round print quality. Canon has developed the unique Drop Modulation TechnologyT that produces dots of different size through the use of dual heaters in each individual nozzle - small dots for areas of low colour saturation and large dots for areas of high saturation. The result is better colour gradations for finer, more natural images.

Additionally, Canon`s Bubble Jet printers offer Photo Optimiser TechnologyT. This feature was developed by Canon to counter the fact that, while images look great on the monitor, there is often a loss of quality in the printed result. This is usually because the original images are not ideally configured for printing. Photo Optimiser TechnologyT combats this problem by automatically correcting images for printing at the touch of a button, ironing out problems such as poor colour saturation, incorrect exposure, contrast and colour fogging.

The BJC-2100 is adaptable and suitable for use with different media including Canon Glossy Photo Paper, High Resolution Paper, T-shirt transfers, and banner paper. With the addition of the optional IS-22 Scanner Cartridge, the BJC-2100 instantly transforms into a multifunctional machine, delivering 360x360 DPI scans.

The BJC-2100 "Go Wild" bundle is available to dealers through Canon South Africa`s distributors: Light Edge Technology, Rectron, Pinnacle Micro and TVR Computers, and is available to end users from Makro, Game, Dion, Incredible Connection, Stax, OfficeMart, and Pick&Pay while stocks last.
