Go wireless with Gigabyte`s new motherboard

Johannesburg, 05 Feb 2004

Gigabyte Technology`s new P4 Titan GT-Wireless edition (GA-8IPE1000 Pro2-W) motherboard, featuring Intel`s Pentium 4 and Hyper-Treading Technology, is taking wireless computing to the next level.

Distributed by Rectron, the wireless motherboard is bundled with a wireless kit that is IEEE 802.11b compliant and WiFi compatible, featuring a GN-WBZB0M USB wireless LAN card for high-speed networking of up to 11Mbps.

"The P4 Titan GT-Wireless packs quite a punch with features such as 800MHz FSB and Dual Channel DDR 400 and AGP 8x as well as Intel`s HT Technology that offers unprecedented performance and advanced gaming," says Reon Coetzee, marketing manager of Rectron.

The motherboard also features Gigabyte`s CIA (CPU Intelligent Accelerator) and MIB (Memory Intelligent Booster) that offer users an intelligent and seamless method of accelerating both CPU computing and memory performance.

The P4 Titan GT-Wireless gives users more flexibility as they can work or play anywhere as long as it`s within the wireless system`s range of approximately 166 metres.

The motherboard also integrates Intel`s PRO series network connection for optimal network throughput and performance as well as integrated Serial ATA and IEEE 1394 for high-speed data input/output performance.

Lastly, the P4 Titan GT-Wireless motherboard`s Universal Audio Jack offers enhanced multimedia functionality, simplifying audio speaker installation.

CIA overclocking technology

Gigabyte`s CIA overclocking technology is designed to detect CPU loading during software execution, automatically adjusting CPU computing power to maximise system performance.

MIB technology boosts memory bandwidth up to 10% by optimising data transmissions in a CPU`s north bridge chipset and memory.
