GoldMine incorporates multimedia training

Johannesburg, 10 Feb 2000

GoldMine Software, a JSE-listed Ixchange company and developer of solutions for sales, marketing, service and support teams, has announced a partnership with Referentia Systems Incorporated, a leader in embedded multimedia training for software applications, to make GoldMine easier to learn and use.

GoldMine and Referentia Systems have teamed up to create a "Getting Started" multimedia training course to be included in every box of GoldMine 5.0 and GoldMine Sales and Marketing. These training volumes are designed to improve productivity and performance and get users started in GoldMine quickly.

"We closely evaluated CBT and EPSS technologies from more than 30 vendors and selected Referentia," says Edwin Gear, MD of GoldMine SA. "They have an outstanding track record and their work stands out through the quality of presentation, ease of navigation and high level of integration with our product. Plus, the intuitive browser-style interface means no new learning for our users."

The Referentia for GoldMine 5.0 and Referentia for GoldMine Sales and Marketing interactive training courses launch from GoldMine`s Help menu and feature step-by-step, animated lessons and rich concept visualisations that cover the essentials of how to work efficiently in this powerful application.

Topics covered include managing contacts, scheduling activities, creating reports, and more.

"Referentia`s multimedia training technology is perfect for GoldMine`s feature-rich software products," says Bill Kern, president of Referentia Systems. "Our computer-based training volumes provide 24-hour access to the information users need in an engaging, user-friendly environment. Narrated 3D animations and an interactive `Try It` feature bring content alive to maximise comprehension and retention of key information and make learning enjoyable," explains Kern. "This all means that GoldMine users can get started taking advantage of GoldMine`s many features quickly and easily."
