Google has unveiled a special feature on its iGoogle customisable homepage, where fans of the Rugby World Cup (RWC) can support the event online.

Live scores, team information, rugby news, stadium locations, local information, rugby videos, results and rankings can be accessed by visiting the Google rugby 2007 page.

The application allows users to follow the course of the matches in real-time (tries scored, latest moves), look up team selections, or the latest RWC news. Users can also view results and rankings of individual teams, and encourage teams by clicking on their flags.

The application also provides a map of where the relevant games are taking place, and allows supporters' videos to be posted on YouTube.

The tab dedicated to the Rugby World Cup is available on iGoogle in French, English, Italian and Spanish.
