Hackers had access to the New York-based gossip site Gawker and its content management system and password files for six months, reports NY Convergence.
Hacking group Gnosis gained access to the server using a local file inclusion weakness.
More than 1.3 million registered users of the site were affected, and the passwords of Gawker staff, including Gawker's founder Nick Denton's, were located and used.
Alfresco ships language packs
Alfresco has shipped in user interface language packs for its content management system, states Fierce Content Management.
“In a world where it is increasingly important to localise content, having your content management system support multiple languages is becoming a must,” says Denis Dorval, Alfresco's vice-president of sales at Alfresco drove home.
According to Dorval, more than half of Alfresco's customers are based in non-English speaking countries: France, Germany, Spain, Italy and Japan.
Africa gets content management services
Bharti Airtel is relying on the partnership between it and IBM, which is expected to manage the computing and technology services that will enhance Airtel's mobile network, says Vanguard.
IBM is set to deploy the Spoken Web -voice-enabled Internet that allows users to access and share information by talking over a telephone network, which is compelling for populations with little or no literacy, visual impairments, or lack access to computers, claims Airtel.
In addition, IBM plans to unveil a content management system to offer rich media content such as music and video over mobile devices, while simultaneously facilitating the growth of the application developer community in Africa.
