Govt office unveils contract management

The UK Office of Government Commerce has rolled out the latest version of its contract management system for public sector IT procurements, reports Washington Technology.

Version 2.3 contains updates in the areas of managing challenges and concerns related to the financial health of the contractors and subcontractors, according to agency officials.

David Shields, programme director for the government commerce agency, says: "The success of projects or programmes requiring IT support depend upon those services being contracted in the most appropriate and efficient way, and the IT model contract that we have developed with industry bodies and other stakeholders can provide a great deal of assurance.”

I-many gets new CEO

Kilroy has held senior executive and technical management roles with companies such as Hewlett Packard, Seer Technologies, Continental Telephone, Avon Cosmetics, Xerox, Samsung Information Systems and Toshiba America.

Paul Winn, I-many's chairman, says: “We are committed to growing our strategic centres of excellence in contract management.”

Valio renews contract with Fujitsu

One of Finland's largest food companies, Valio, has renewed its ICT services agreement with Fujitsu Services, says PR-USA.

The new agreement expands the contract management of third parties. All Valio employees' IT problems will be processed through Fujitsu's Service Desk.

The partnership between Valio and Fujitsu dates back to 1995 when Valio outsourced its IT to Fujitsu.
