Green reports boost paper-saving

Ricoh, provider of office equipment, says its Remote Green Reports have seen success in the educational market, states News Blaze.

In particular, Anne Arundel County Public Schools has seen the benefits of Remote Green Reports.

Using Ricoh's Remote Intelligent Management System, the school district was able to track and better manage its print device usage, in turn moving forward its district-wide paper reduction initiative.

New fixed-price solution

TeleCommunication Systems (TCS) has introduced its fixed-price hosted VOIP solution to new and existing managed satellite services customers, reports TMCnet.

The company said organisations can control costs by implementing a TCS voice-over-satellite (VOS) package that offers unlimited calling to up to 40 countries for one low, flat monthly fee.

TCS VOS turnkey packages can be used along with TCS' current managed satellite communications services or even as a free-standing solution for existing clients.

Blue Dot intros cloud mobile framework

Blue Dot has released Cyan, a cloud computing framework built on Microsoft's Windows Azure cloud technology, reveals Dr Dobbs.

Cyan will set the stage for Blue Dot to deliver its current and future mobile line of business solutions in a software-as-a-service model, including Advanced Mobile 311.

Advanced Mobile 311 is a cloud-based crowd-sourcing solution specifically designed for municipalities and organisations to quickly and accurately generate service requests using smart phones.
