GreenFolders enable paperless office

Thanks to a program called GreenFolders, Consumer's Title Company of Southern California's title department is about 90% paperless, states Ventura County Star.

“We have since changed programs to one that is more efficient, reliable and cost-effective,” said title operations manager and vice president Roxanne Danielsen.

“All of our title files are created, updated, maintained, closed and stored through a file,” Danielsen said. Now when a client calls, their file literally is at the Title officer's fingertips. “We can access the files within seconds and have access to everything,” she said.

Zoran software integrated with printers

Zoran Corporation announced its integrated solution for printers has been deployed in Muratec's MFX line of monochrome multifunction printers now shipping in the US, reveals Market Watch.

Muratec's models offer print, copy, scan, fax and document management functionality and Zoran's IPS software handles printing of documents in the industry-standard PostScript and PCL formats, as well as printing of PDF documents directly from a USB drive.

"Zoran's combined hardware and software solution enables our new MFX line of multifunction printers to deliver high-quality, high-speed PCL and PostScript output to our customers," said Lou Stricklin, director of marketing, Muratec America.

Bircham's offers hardware to NPOs

Bircham's, a longstanding Colorado Springs office equipment company, is giving Colorado non-profit organisations (NPOs) a free, used Konica Minolta Di2510F digital copier and fax unit valued at about $2 100, reports Colorado Springs Gazette.

The only catch is the NPOs have to sign a one-time, one-year maintenance agreement for $495, which includes parts, labour, toner and 20 000 copies with a 1.5c-per-copy charge for overages but after that, the obligation is gone.

Bircham's tossed some that were too beaten up to fix. The other machines are being cleaned and refurbished, and about 100 have been given away since November, with another 100 waiting for someone to take Bircham's up on its offer.
