CommerceQuest South Africa is expecting extensive local growth and interest in CommerceQuest`s enableNet Data Integrator following a number of successful agreements with leading corporate companies internationally, according to CQSA Managing Director, Alex Steyn.
Local deals are expected to come in the wake of a successful licensing agreement for enableNet Data Integrator between the Florida, US-based CommerceQuest Inc and Europe`s largest specialist retailer of consumer electronics, Dixons Group plc.
In addition, Gartmore, one of the UK`s leading investment management groups, has automated and accelerated its investment trades by implementing a resilient enterprise application integration (EAI) solution, which combines the strengths of enableNet Data Integrator and IBM`s MQ Series messaging software.
To maintain its investment management leadership, a key thrust at Gartmore is to exploit the latest straight-through processing techniques. To this end, it is using EAI to automate the exchange of transaction information between the internal applications used in generating and executing trades. It sees this interoperability as a route to cheaper, faster and more accurate operations.
EnableNet Data Integrator is a patented integration platform that liberates information stored in legacy applications and databases for use across an enterprise. By using enableNet Data Integrator, companies are able to maximise their existing investment in IT, while embedding a highly flexible foundation that rapidly adapts to changes in the business and technology landscape. Its broad platform support, including support for industry specific devices such as the IBM 4690 point of sale controller, scalable architecture and ability to accommodate virtually any type of data, make it a powerful solution for companies seeking incremental value add in today`s change-oriented business environment.
Referring to the Dixon`s deal, Steyn said: "The retailer will leverage the software to meet unique needs resulting in cost savings and more responsive use of information." EnableNet Data Integrator already plays a vital role in two Dixons projects. Commenting about the success of the software solution, Dixons Group IT Manager, Dave Redford, said: "We are using enableNet Data Integrator to provide tight integration from our centralised applications, through IBM MQSI, to the new PC-City stores, soon to be launched throughout Europe."
At Dixons, enableNet Data Integrator`s "out the box" functionality has been successfully tested in a new sales application, which is planned to go live this month. "As a result of our positive experience of enableNet Data Integrator and its fit with our middleware strategy, we have embraced it as the de-facto standard for all Dixons data integration requirements," said Redford.
Internationally, big-name companies using CommerceQuest`s integration software include Home Depot, Ahold, Groupe Andre, Publix Supermarkets and Stein Mart.
