HCL intros green computing training

and talent development division of HCL Infosystems, says it has introduced an IT training programme for green computing in partnership with Global Science and Technology Forum (GSTF), reports The Times of India.

As part of the partnership, HCL with GSTF will offer the introductory training programmes across 130 cities in India and is expected to reach out to over 10 000 students by the end of this year, HCL Infosystems said in a statement.

According to The Economic Times, with more and more green practices being adopted, there is a need to develop a pool of highly-trained green IT professionals, added HCL.

The partnership is also expected to start some special programmes based on computing concepts and is also working on integrating next generation platforms like cloud computing, which is expected to drive the next IT revolution along with and broadband.

“This association would empower us to create innovative programmes and incorporating Green IT as a foundation,” HCL Infosystems executive VP, marketing, Rothin Bhattacharyya said.
