The question of what constitutes the dream PC is undoubtedly an interesting one. Individuals have their unique needs and tastes. For me, a dream PC should also act as a game console, DVD player, TV recorder and have the ability to back-up my precious DVDs as well as run the movie I made on my last trip to London.

Indeed, my dream PC should be able to do all of the above while still looking totally stylish, complementing the interior design of my minimalist and futuristic home.

OK, so all of this sounds good, but let`s talk about how you can build this dream PC.

Firstly, you have to find a case/chassis that is stylish as well as features the latest developments in thermal and noise control. Here, I recommend Thermaltake Tenor and TermalRock Mystic, which were both designed with the home theatre PC concept in mind.

Each chassis features its own optimised design that includes thermal distortion aluminium panels and EMI shielding.

It`s also important that you incorporate a stable power supply to ensure that your PC functions properly.

Secondly, we get down to the grindstone, which includes the main specifications of your PC. Personally, I would recommend the Asus P5WDL Wireless TV Edition that comes with the latest Intel I955X chipset that supports dual core Intel CPUs while at the same time featuring the Asus Wireless Access Point and Asus TV-Tuner that will enable TV recording.

Thirdly, in order to also create a game console you need an impressive graphics card - my recommendation is Leadtek`s NVIDIA FX7800 GTX PCI Express VGA, the latest offering from NVIDIA that is sure to give the ultimate visual experience. Leadtek also provides the latest overclocking BIOS to improve the performance of your VGA.

Fourth and lastly, in order to incorporate DVD playing DVD/CD burning, you need a decent DVD-RW burner - here I recommend AOpen`s DVD-RW that supports 16X DVD-/+R and dual layer DVD burning (Max 9.4Gb).

Besides all the above products I would also incorporate Intel Processors, Seagate Serial ATA II Hard Drive and A-DATA`s powerful DDRII 1066 FSB memory.

As an added luxury, also try Bluetake`s Bluetooth range of products that, for example, enable you to upload a picture from your Bluetooth cell phone or listen to music with a Bluetooth Headset without disturbing others.

Undoubtedly, your dream PC could add a lot of value to your home entertainment experience, by becoming a complete home entertainment centre.
