HP adds to recall list

HP is recalling a further 54 000 batteries, stemming from a 70 000 lithium-ion battery recall in May 2009, states PC Mag.

HP believes the batteries could potentially overheat and split apart, leading to potential fire damage.

The recall affects 31 notebooks split across four product lines: HP Pavilion laptops, Compaq Presario laptops, HP laptops and HP Compaq laptops.
