HP is enabling customers to expand the use of thin clients for multi-touch business applications, such as self-service banking and digital signage kiosks, by offering Microsoft Windows Embedded Standard 7 Premium (WS7P) on HP thin clients.
Kobi Elbaz, director of commercial and retail solutions, HP Printing & Personal Systems Group, EMEA, says the increased versatility of the embedded operating system will provide HP thin clients with new options to drive their business strategies.
The HP t610 flexible thin client is the first HP thin client to offer premium features of WS7P, offering customers enhanced security lockdown, enriched media capabilities and more efficient network management.
Thin clients running WS7P also have Direct Access, making it easier for customers to secure their workforce - without the use of a VPN. Remote users can securely access enterprise resources, while business easily customises and controls access policies.
WS7P is preinstalled on selected HP t610 flexible series thin clients.
