Hewlett-Packard Company worldwide leader in large-format printing solution sales, has announced new HP DesignJet large-format printers and HP Printing Materials and Ink Supplies that deliver ultimate line and photo quality to technical professionals.
HP DesignJet 500 and 800 printers
Available in both 60 cm (24 inches) and 107 cm (42 inches) sizes, the new HP DesignJet 500 and HP DesignJet 800 printers have been designed to meet the very detailed rendering, colour line drawing and connectivity needs of architects, engineers, construction and mechanical designers and GIS professionals - at prices starting as low as $2,495 (US). Both printers ship with Windows and AutoCAD connectivity.
New HP Printing Materials
In addition to a wide range of available printing materials designed for technical and graphics applications, HP also announced three new printing materials optimised to work with the new HP DesignJet printers for uncompromised print quality:
HP High-Gloss Photo Paper, an ultra-smooth glossy paper delivering high-impact, photo-quality images;
HP Satin Poster Paper, a gloss-coated professional inkjet paper that provides an economical, short-term printing solution;
HP Heavyweight Coated Paper, the ultimate low-cost printing solution that is fade-resistant and moisture-proof without lamination.
Outstanding Photo Quality and Line Accuracy
Given the increasing importance of image quality and the huge growth in renderings in the technical marketplace, HP has designed the HP DesignJet 500 and 800 printers, together with the HP Printing Material and Ink Supplies, to deliver superior line accuracy and ultimate photo quality with continuous tones, smooth transitions and a wide colour gamut.
The line accuracy is made possible by the inclusion of 304 nozzles in each 3.8 cm (1.5 inches) printhead to produce 18-picoliter black pigmented drops and 4 picoliter colour dye-based drops. Furthermore, the HP DesignJet 500 and 800 printers used in conjunction with HP`s tailored range of quality inks and media enable the printing of sharp fine lines as thin as 0.05 mm and ensure accuracy of 0.2 percent of the specified page length.
True resolutions of 2400 x 1200-dpi on glossy media and 1200 x 600-dpi are possible with the HP DesignJet 800 and 500 printers respectively.
