HP introduces new inkjet printer ideal for budget conscious users

Hewlett-Packard Company has announced an easy-to-use inkjet printer forbudget-conscious users and first-time printer buyers. It features vibrant colour output; crisp, black text; and optional, significant photo-quality capability. The HP DeskJet 640C printer produces letters, schoolwork and home projects on any paper.

HP DeskJet 640C printer features

  • quick print speeds - up to 6 pages per minute (ppm) for black text and up to 3 ppm for colour;

  • Dual-print-cartridge system - users can print in black and in colour without swapping print cartridges. HP DJ640C printer uses a four-colour print system for effortless, quality colour and black output;

  • optional photo quality - an HP Photo Cartridge (HP C1816A) - is available for the DeskJet 640C printer for who seek photo-quality output;

  • simple setup - easy-to-follow setup guide will have customers printing in minutes;

  • HP ColorSmart III - automatically selects the optimal colour or grayscale tone for smoother skin tones and solid backgrounds, sharper images and vivid colour palettes. One facet of HP ColorSmart III is HP SmartFocus, a feature that automatically enhances image quality and clarity. For example, HP SmartFocus sharpens details in low-resolution images printed from the by automatically synthesizing a higher-resolution image;

  • increased flexibility - supports both PC and USB-connect Macintosh systems and offers both parallel and USB ports;
