HP launches new SME LaserJet printers to SA market

Johannesburg, 11 Mar 2004

HP`s new range of Laser MFPs (multifunctional printers) offer small to medium-sized businesses print, fax, scan and copying functionalities, while at the same time driving down the costs associated with feature-rich printing.

The range includes the LaserJet 3015 - replacing the LaserJet 1220 - and the LaserJet 3020/3030 and LaserJet 3380, respectively replacing the LaserJet 3300 and 3320.

Looking at the 3015, Zandr'e Rudolph, HP business manager at official distributor, Rectron comments that the printer not only offers ease-of-use, but can handle complex jobs with a memory 32MB RAM and an additional 2MB fax for storing up to 110 fax documents.

"The LaserJet 3015 also offers delayed faxing and fax-to-PC functionality that enables users to more efficiently manage their time and needs," he says.

All three the LaserJet printers feature HP`s Instant-on Technology that delivers the first page in 10 seconds or less. They are also bundled with OCR (Optical Character Recognition) software that enables users to convert hardcopy documents to editable electronic files.

The LaserJet 3380 packs quite a punch as it prints up to 19ppm and produces high quality output with true 1 200dpi for crisp and clear laser printing.

"The 3380`s multi-task ability also enables you to scan or copy while your print jobs are in progress - this definitely saves time and improves productivity," he adds.

Lastly, the LaserJet 3020/3030 flatbed printer is ideal for home office environments is it enables users to copy a variety of materials that include books and other bound documents, while the 50-sheet automatic document feeder enables unattended copying and scanning for large originals.
