High volume data transfer environments such as e-commerce, messaging and database management require considerable processing power. According to Margie Adam, product manager for at , the Hewlett-Packard and six-way servers are ideal for this type on environment, delivering the power of six Intel 700Mhz processors at a similar price point to four way machines. "The HP NetServer LH 6000 offers clearly superior performance and scalability without breaking the bank," she declares. According to her, the six-way configuration is a first; traditionally, there is a jump from a 4-way to an 8-way machine. "The LH and LT 6000 machines offer 32% better performance than comparably priced four way machines," she reveals.

Tarsus Technologies has stock of the LH 6000`s and according to Adam, financing is available through Tarsus` in-house financing arm, MB Tech Finance. The servers can be financed from R7500-00 per month on 36 months with 0% escalation or 60 months at R5227-00; or the LH6000r can be financed for 36 months at R7702-00 or 60 months at R5370-00.
