Hewlett-Packard`s PhotoSmart P1000 / P1100 printers are now available from Tarsus Technologies, the distribution arm of JSE-listed MB Technologies. "These machines have a number of unique features that single it out as the ideal machine for enthusiastic digital photographers," declares Traci Maynard, product manager for Hewlett-Packard at Tarsus Technologies. According to her, the qualities that set the PhotoSmart printers apart from the competition include excellent print quality and the machines` ability to print and save images directly from a wide range of digital cameras.

"These machines are also the first consumer printers to market to feature full duplexing capabilities," continues Maynard, adding that the PhotoSmart machines are capable of handling a wide variety of media including normal and photo paper, envelopes and cards.
The fully networkable PhotoSmart P1100 is compatible with HP`s JetDirect external print servers, making it the ideal choice for small workgroups requiring the versatility and performance of a photo printer.
