HP renews strategic commitment to mobile-printer market

Hewlett-Packard Company has introduced the HP DeskJet 350 mobile printer, a follow-on to its highly successful, award-winning HP DeskJet 340 mobile printer. The HP DeskJet 350 mobile printer offers an optimal balance of all the features a travelling professional needs, including fast operation, good print quality, compact size, low weight, rugged design, and support for major operating systems.

The HP DeskJet 350 mobile printer further enhances productivity by allowing to be immediately incorporated into printed presentations, contracts, forms and reports, enabling mobile professionals to respond to customers faster."

Robust Design for Mobile Professionals

"The HP DeskJet 350 printer is specifically designed to support mobility," said Heuninck. "Its robust design makes it ideal for the most demanding environments. No other mobile printer in the market comes close to the HP DeskJet 350 printer in the extensive shock, drop, altitude and climatic tests we conducted."

The HP DeskJet 350 is the only mobile printer in the industry to feature ink cartridges that can withstand extreme temperature and altitude changes without leaking. The printer`s high-volume ink cartridges can generate up to 485 pages of black text and 155 pages in colour - more than any other mobile printer.

Desktop Functionality and Performance

The HP DeskJet 350 mobile printer is an enhanced product designed to provide mobile professionals with desktop printing performance and functionality on the road. The printer boasts the following features:

  • Fast, professional-quality documents - The HP DeskJet 350 mobile printer produces up to 5 pages per minute (ppm) in black and 2 ppm in colour. Black text printing is at 600 x 600 dots-per-inch (dpi) resolution and colour images at 600 x 300 dpi. HP ColourSmart II technology optimises colour images to generate vivid, compelling output.

  • NiMH battery - The printer`s built-in NiMH battery charges in one hour and 40 minutes, with no memory effect. It can power the printing of 130 pages of black text in normal mode.

  • Versatile ease of use - An IrDA-compliant infrared adapter is available for wireless use, and the printer also features a 30-page sheet feeder for convenient, hands-free operation. The HP DeskJet 350 printer supports a variety of HP media, including transparencies, labels, glossy brochures and flyer papers.

  • HP`s exclusive smart software - Includes HP LaserJet margin emulation for documents that have been formatted for HP`s office LaserJet printers, a special photocopy/fax print mode for generating documents optimised for copying and faxing, and custom-rotatable watermarks.
