HP signs outsourcing contract
Commerzbank has outsourced the management of 33 000 workstations and 12 000 printers to HP, as part of a five-year deal, reports RTT News.
HP will deliver a full range of IT services to Commerzbank, including infrastructure services to complete desktop life cycle management.
The services are part of the HP End User Workplace portfolio and include desktop management, network management, print management, server management and help desk services.
Unisys, Ciba team up
Unisys Corporation has signed a five-year global IT outsourcing contract with Ciba Specialty Chemicals, reports domain-b.
The company will strengthen Ciba`s global IT strategy, and provide IT services to 12 000 Ciba employees throughout Europe, the Americas and Asia.
According to Unisys, it will use its global sourcing capabilities for Ciba, combining local service delivery with delivery from Unisys services centres in Budapest in Hungary, and Bangalore in India.
IBM develops Nokia Siemens services
IBM has won an IT outsourcing contract from Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) to develop its multimedia services, reports ihotdesk.
The company will research and develop a series of next-generation voice and multimedia services, mobile Internet products and VOIP offerings for NSN.
As part of the deal, which begins in December, 235 NSN employees will transfer to IBM in Munich and Berlin.
