HP to boost enterprise agility

CIO India.

According to V3.co.uk, the new systems will include the Data Warehouse Appliance, a system designed to improve the performance of SQL Server 2008 R2 databases. The appliance will scale from 38 to 500 terabyte capacities.

Also targeting the SQL Server 2008 platform will be the Vertica Analytics System appliance. The device will allow enterprises to monitor and analyse in real-time, something the HP believes will be valuable on the business intelligence front.

Meanwhile, eChannel Line writes that Dave Donatelli, HP's executive VP and GM, enterprise servers, storage and networking, said: “The new solutions that have been unveiled extend the benefits of convergence to deliver new levels of speed, simplicity and efficiency that enable clients to capitalise and anticipate change.”

The new converged systems include a new portfolio of turnkey, optimised and converged hardware, software, tailored consulting and HP solution support services, which address top application areas, including real-time analytics, database consolidation and data warehouse.

They speed solution deployment by providing a common architecture, management and model across virtualisation, cloud and dedicated application environments.
