HP updates converged infrastructure line
HP has updated its line of converged infrastructure products looking to simplify data centre operations, states V3.co.uk.
The HP G7 Prolient servers, three rack-mount and seven blade systems, are scalable by design and incorporate greater memory capacities in order to meet virtualisation needs.
Peter Mansell, HP UK's BladeSystem business manager, said this development is the next step for network and storage connectivity, and that the Virtual Connect technology is one of HP's biggest differentiators in the blade server market.
Mega, Stamford Risk Analytics partner
Stamford Risk Analytics (SRA), an enterprise risk management firm, and Mega, a governance, risk and compliance solutions provider, have partnered to integrate SRA's risk measurement and management solution into the Mega suite, says Insurance News Net.
According to the companies, the toolset will manage risk and costs effectively across all industries, providing enterprise risk management and business process performance.
“For risk managers and business decision-makers, this will provide a more reliable means of conducting risk analysis,” explained Lucio de Risi, Mega CEO. “Executives can be confident that they will make important business decisions based on accurate risk information.”
Terremark unveils Amsterdam NAP
Terremark Worldwide, a provider of IT infrastructure services, has unveiled the Network Access Point of Amsterdam, writes MarketWatch.
Terremark's NAP of Amsterdam will provide 25 000 square feet of co-location space inside a facility in the Amsterdam Airport Schiphol area.
The facility will feature massive connectivity with the Amsterdam Internet Exchange, one of the world's largest Internet exchanges, committed to establishing a peering node at the data centre.
