The HPC Advisory Council, a leading organisation for high-performance computing research, outreach and education, today announced the HPC Advisory Council, in association with the CHPC National Meeting, will hold the HPC Advisory Council South Africa High-Performance Computing Conference 2014, on 3 December 2014, at the Kruger National Park in South Africa.
The conference is open to all registered attendees of the CHPC National Meeting, and will bring together system managers, researchers, developers, computational scientists and industry affiliates. The conference will focus on the following subjects:
* High-performance computing and storage systems;
* High-speed networks;
* High-performance and parallel I/O;
* Communication libraries: MPI, SHMEM, PGAS;
* Advanced topics / technologies / development / the road to Exascale;
* GPU computing, CUDA, OpenCL; and
* New HPC initiatives and programmes.
The HPC Advisory Council is pleased to extend its worldwide HPC educational activities to South Africa, said Gilad Shainer, chairman of the HPC Advisory Council. The HPC Advisory Council worldwide workshops have become world-renowned as an excellent educational opportunity for HPC and data centre IT professionals who are looking to deploy or provide additional enhancements and functionality to their advanced high-performance solutions.
