Huddle unveils intelligent sync
IT Pro reports.
As for how it differs from consumer offerings like Dropbox, it comes with enterprise-grade security. The shared data is encrypted at 256-bit SSL, meaning it is protected on the device and in transition. Huddle Sync also features a remote wipe capability.
Huddle Sync, currently in private beta, is intended to let workers gain secure access to the company's data, Venture Beat says.
It syncs only relevant documents to workers' PCs and mobile devices. Employees can work on the files while offline, and managers and executives have granular permission controls to specify settings for cross-company sharing.
Huddle's new iPhone app also gives workers the ability to collaborate on synced documents while on the move - viewing, approving or commenting within the Huddle workspace, ZDNet reveals.
